🌍 Where in the world is Kidney March? It was with our Kidney Foundation of Canada, Southern Alberta and Saskatchewan Branch team members and Kidney Marchers in Montreal attending the Kidney Foundation's 60th Anniversary Leadership Conference. During the Foundation's 60 years of developing research opportunities, programs, services, and awareness campaigns, we have helped to change the course of kidney disease. Next week marks 12 weeks to Kidney March. Not sure where to start or continue with your training? Download the 12 week training plan at kidneymarch.ca/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/12-Week-Training-Plan.pdf and use it to help guide you. Remember – the most important thing is to get out and walk at any speed and or any distance. Try to incorporate hills and give yourself little goals like training for a minimum of 3 out of 7 days per week. Make training FUN by picking a new park to visit or getting friends and family to join you. For more tips watch the "Training Tips with Paiwei" video below.www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUGk9gUAqDs ... Need a creative way to fundraise! Do you have a good relationship with a local business? The Team IV Life is a great example. They are hosting "Pints for a Purpose" on Saturday, June 8 at Tavern 52. They will have a 50/50 Draw and silent auction items. Think about businesses you're connected to, and see if they could team up! Maybe it is your mechanic, a bakery, a tour company, or more. Not only is the business doing a great thing to help you fundraise, but they will get the tax receipt for their donation to the cause. For more ideas and our fundraising toolkit visit: kidneymarch.ca/fundraising/ Did you know we can help you set up a lottery license to host your own 50/50 draw?
