They say the hardest part about working out is actually getting there, and the rainy weather definitely doesn’t help!
Well, here is some motivation from Jesse Stein at Landmark Collaberative Health to get you moving from thought to action:
- The risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, cancer, and diabetes can be reduced just by taking the dog for a walk, climbing the stairs, or sweeping the driveway.
- Walking just one mile (1.6km) will burn up at least 100kcal (420kJ) of energy.
- Walking two miles (3.2km) a day, three times a week, will help reduce your weight by approximately one pound (0.5kg) every three weeks!
